đŸ’Ŧ RESPAWN

One photo, forty views — what does your moderation team do?

A moderation simulation about online incidents, for ages 10-13
Students take on the role of the moderation team of REALM, a fictional social platform, and decide how to handle an escalating online incident. Across 11 assignments they build up a complete picture piece by piece — ending in a classroom courtroom finale.

🚩 THE COMMON THREAD THROUGH THE GAME

None of the mistakes in this story was fatal on its own — together they built up the incident:

⏱
Artificial urgency
"Right now" or "before midnight" is designed to block clear thinking — always a red flag.
⚡
Pressure without time to think
Anyone denied time to think makes worse decisions. That goes for moderators and students alike.
🤐
Secrecy
"Don't tell anyone" is almost always a sign that something isn't right.
đŸ’Ŧ What does "RESPAWN" mean?
In games, "respawn" means starting again after a mistake — a second chance. This game is built on that same idea: an online mistake isn't the end of the story, as long as you take the right steps to put it right.
đŸ›Ąī¸ What does a moderator do?
A moderator watches over an online platform: that person decides what stays up, what comes down, and who gets a warning. It's just as much care as enforcement — speed, care and communication all have to come together.

These are 3 of the 11 assignments. The full game also includes a 24-hour decision tree, an empathy assignment, a fact-check, a writing assignment with live criteria, and a classroom courtroom finale with four roles.
